I installed V 4.8, and everything was working fine, until I tried to install a new module (the chat module if I remember correctly).  The installation hung, and eventually I closed the browser.  Now, I am unable to get back into the site through a browser......   I don't even get to the login screen.  I am still able to FTP into the directories on my hosting provider, however.

Any suggestions?  Please keep it simple if possible.....  I am by no means a programmer.

Thanks.

Are you getting an error page or is the site not responding at all?  If it is the later, you could wait until it eventually times out and the application restarts.  You may have to contact your hosting provider to get them to reset the application.  Otherwise, you will probably need to post some details from the error message.

I was getting no response.  However, I tried again in the morning, and although it took a minute or two, I did get in.  I guess it reset itself at some point.

Thank you for your response.
