I performed a manual install (not automated, but using the Install Wizard) of the Source download on WinXP with an external SQL2005 server.  I used a prefix (as suggested) for the tables & stored procs.  The aspnet_ files do not use that prefix, which seems ok.

I created two accounts (host and admin) during the install procedure. I had selected the default AspNetSqlMembershipProvider.

When I login as either host or admin, no ADMIN Menu appears.  I used the default DotNetNuke skin.  The users show up in the xxxx_Users and aspnet_Membership tables,  but no aspnet_usersInRoles records.

Not sure how to move forward.  Any suggestions?

aspnet_* role management is not used any longer. please try to restart app (e.g. by "pseudo-editing" the web.config file) and try again.

What does "(e.g. by "pseudo-editing" the web.config file)" mean?
