Hi Guys,

Im a dotnetnukenoob, just for the record.
Followed a tutorial and took the following steps:

1. Setup new SQL 2005 DB, created user and gave him DBA permissions.
2. Downloaded the install version of dotnetnuke.
3. Openedrelease.config and renamed it as web.config
4. Added the connection string to my DB
5. Ran the installer (which just hung, if I selected an optin and pressd next nothing happened)
6. I then went straight to install.aspx and got the following output:

When I go to my site however I just get:

DotNetNuke Error: - Version 04.08.04

An unhandled error has occurred.

Thank you in advance. I have full control over enviornment btw...

I have seen info on other parts of this forum about an "admin" virtual directory causing this error message. This is not the case, there is no admin folder.
Is there anyway to drill down on the error a bit more?

SOLVED: I had forgot to copy the admin folder up to the web server. Silly me!

All working fine now....now to build me a template!
