Hi,

Quick question. Can I go from version 4.9 of DNN (I have 2 websites on this currently) straight to version 5 using the 'upgrade' download? Any special considerations or is it the usual FTP to overwrite existing files and merge the web.config changes as before?

Thanks in advance

Cheers

MARK.

due to known upgrade issues, I suggest to wait for 5.0.1

Wow, I wish I'd read this before I tried. The first error I get is that it can't find dbo.GetPackageByName

Would someone be able to send me that stored proc?

I have only had time to do a few simple tests.  Installed a fresh version of DNN4.8.2.  No changes and no additional modules installed.  I used the "_Install" version of each release.

Platform: Vista Business

DotNetNuke_04.08.02_Install  > DotNetNuke_04.09.01_Install  >  DotNetNuke_05.00.00_Install

Each install worked without error.

I would agree to wait for the next version of each for a production system.   The above will work for testing on your development box.
