Hello,

I have downloaded install ZIP file with DotNetNuke 4.0.2. I have opened it with VS2005 and tried to run the web. This package is full of compile errors (cca 200) - usually caused by missing Imports statements. When I corrected all these errors and run the web, following error is raised:

Parser Error Message: Could not load type 'DotNetNuke.Common.Global'.

Source Error:

Line 1: <%@ Application Inherits="DotNetNuke.Common.Global" Language="VB" %>

Then I am unable to download source files for DNN 4.0.2 to see if the problem is there too.

Can the DNN team help me and help the others?

      Thank you

This is the first time I have heard of people not able to download the source files.

Have you tried again to see how you go?

I tried to download the files again (maybe it is problem on my side, i.e. due to proxy setting or stuff) and it worked. But the compilation problem 'missing reference or namespace' is still there.

Well, we need a WHOLE lot more information than this.  You are using the source install, right?  Did you use all the defaults?  IE, DotNetNuke_2 as the app name?  Or did you use another app name?  If you did, you need to change the soln file and the web.proj file.

It appears that your references aren't be recognized...which could be caused by the above.  If you right-click on each reference and see where it's pointing to, that could help you figure out what's up.  You can also delete a reference at a time and re-point to the bin/whatever.dll (like DotNetNuke.dll) and that might help clear it up.  Hope this helps.
