I set up a DNN site on Network Solutions. Their default is 4.9.0. After loggin in, I find that 4.9.1 upgrade is available. I downloaded the upgrade package, unzipped it and copied the file to the correct directories copying over files with the same name. After all 1941 or so files are uploaded, when I log in it still shows as 4.9.0. I've tried this several times with the same effect. I tried to upgrade to 5.0.0 and I got the installation page, but things did not go well. For example, on the files permission check page, the boxes were grayed out and could not be checked. Clicking next a few times you get to a page where you cannot continue unless you check something, but you can't select anything either. Back to 4.9.0 defualt I go.

Any help upgrading to any of these?

I wouldn't bother upgrading until 4.9.2 or DNN 5.0.1 comes out. There are various resources on the net you can google for tips/instructions on upgrading.
