Get the following error when installing DNN 5.01 on Server 2003, SQL 2005 and running the install page from the server, fresh install

Connection Error(s):
Index #: 0
Source: .Net SqlClient Data Provider
Class: 20
Number: 233
Message: A connection was successfully established with the server, but then an error occurred during the login process. (provider: Shared Memory Provider, error: 0 - No process is on the other end of the pipe.)

I have checked the surface config and it allows remote connections via tcp, I also tried tcp and named pipes, but get the same error regardless.  Does not matter if I use the user I created for the db_owner of the database or the Administrator, same error.

Can anyone tell me where I should look next?

Thanks

Clardy

does the database server allow for remote connections?

Did you check timeouts settings?

 PS: does the db_owner user has owner permission on the database?
