I am trying to follow the module development trainging video on the DNN site.

I am using VS2005 but I don't see the templates.

I installed DNNTemplates 3.0.1 in about 3 different places because I can't seem to get them to come up in Visual Studio and thought maybe I didn't put them in the right place.

I opened Visual Studio, selected New Project, selected Visual Basic, Web but don't see templates like in the video. I do see DotNetNuke Compiled Module in the My Templates area. But when I select that I get the error: ....ModuleName1.vbproj' cannot be opened. The project type is not supported by this installation.

Is my problem installing the templates in the right area or am I missing something else.

Thanks

Did you move your My Documents folder once upon a time to a different drive? Have you told Visual studio about it in Tools/Options/Projects and Solutions (unfortunately VS is not that clever with detecting the My Documents folder path by default).

The other thing to remember is always avoid spaces in project names (the templates don't like them it seems).

Hope this helps...

Still can't see templates. Does anyone know what file types VS is looking for? When the DNNTemplates 3.0.1.exe is executed, it creates directories and files with the .vsz extension. Is there something else I need to do to install templates into VS? Some of the other template directories contain .zip files. Is that VS needs to see?

Thanks
