Hi Everyone,

I am running DNN5 and currently have the User Registration (under Site Settings > Advanced > Security Settings) set to "None".  When I update to any other option I receive the following error message.  Is this a bug in DNN5?  Any ideas to fix?

Thanks, Brad

make sure, to select a valid default language for your portal before saving settings.

Thanks Sebastian - I have installed a language pack for New Zealand (downloaded from dotnetnuke) but I am unable to set the default language under Admin > Site Settings > Advanced Settings > Other Settings > Default Language - as there are no selections available in the drop down list?  The drop down list does not show any languages - not even the stock standard US one?

Any suggestions here?

I have exactley the same problem - DNN 05.00.01 - i dont get an option to select the language on the Admin / Site Settings tab. This would not be a problem itself but when I try to change anything else we get the error message above....

Did you solve the problem? As a workaround we could edit the database directly. Does anybody know which table to edit? What is the text?

Regards

Oliver

I'm experiencing the same problem (beta 5.1). I cannot make any adjustements to the site settings, because the database needs the default language to be set. However, in the settings panel, there is no option that I can select.

I would like to know where this setting is saved in the database so that I can run a direct query against it myself.

thank you!
