Can you point the difference between Install and StarterKit package, please? Can I upload StartKit package to product host since I can't install the Install package (version 4.9.2)?

If you are not developing anything, use the Install download.  Why can't you install the install package?

By the way, the starter kit won't install a site and won't install on your host.  It installs into Visual Studio.

Thank. I am tired of installing Install package of version 4.9.2 in Vista. It always displays error message when it run script to create Profile. I have to make a virtual disk which run XP and it was OK.

the only problem I faced when installing DNN on vista was that IIS 7 tries to setup authentication itself. I work around by first setting up the web site before unzipping DotNetNuke install package into the prepared folder. HTH
