I have a new install of 4.9.3. This is running on a server 2003 with IIS 6.0. The install went ok and I am able to get into the program. My issue is that I have to type my domain user/password first, then the page loads and I have to login to DNN.

I want to get rid of the login to windows if possible. Normally I would uncheck the Integrated windows authentication on the alias in IIS. However if I do this then I get the "you are not authorized to view this web page." error.

I have verified that all permissions etc are according to the install documentation. Plus during the install it passed the permissions test.

Thanks in advance for all help.

try the following - go to portals /default /event queue - should be only two files in there - if more delete all but the txt and config files

if this fixes it then you have a permission problem - every time you install a module you will need to do the above. This should not happen in V4 - was a common problem in V3.

Ok I checked that directory, Only 2 files in it. eventqueue.config and readme.txt. Any other ideas?

then you have either a premission problem- could be your settings in IIS (directory security) and or the actual directory permissions.

Uncheck everything but Anonymous in IIS.  Make sure anonymous is checked.  In Windows Explorer or My Computer, right click the root of your web site and choose Security, then add NETWOR SERVICE (IIS 6 and 7) or ASPNET (IIS 5.x) with full control, and set the permissions to inherit to all subdirectories (replacing current settings is fine, DNN only needs this account).
