Hi..

After upgrading from 3.1.1 to 3.2.2 and it looked ok from the log, the Installer did. But my portal won't round

I'm having a problem with ASP.NET 2.0 (i think) regarding security..
it says :
Exception Details: System.Security.SecurityException: Request for the permission of type 'System.Configuration.ConfigurationPermission, System.Configuration, Version=2.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=b03f5f7f11d50a3a' failed.

or goto www.gamenights.dk

I'v have been looking for the solution all over the net and could not find anything...

I have a 2003 server (all updates are ok) , MS SQL 2000

Could someone guide me in what to do ?

Thanks in advance..

/Kenneth Madsen

Go into IIS and check the ASP.NET tab of the website/virtual directory properties. Make sure you're using 1.1.

In the Download section it notes 2.0 can be used with 3.2.2

DotNetNuke 3.x is designed to be used with ASP.NET 1.1. You can use this release to perform an automated upgrade from your previous DotNetNuke 3.x version. Also note that this version is compatible with ASP.NET 2.0 from a run-time ( not development ) perspective. Therefore you can modify your website configuration to use ASP.NET 2.0 rather than ASP.NET 1.1 if you so desire.

Is this not the case?

Would that give me any benefits ? - using ASP.NET 2.0 compared to 1.1 ?
(My best guess is 2.0 is has much better in performance the 1.1 but  i'm so not familiar with .NET ..... yet)

Right now I'm struggling witha stupid error, and it'sgetting my portal to show me the errors it has, for some reason, my changes in the web.config file <customErrors mode="Off"/> is not working.. :( even after restart of Server and X-number of iisreset...

Any hints is welcome..  (it's properly a very smal thing)

Best regards /Kenneth Madsen
