I just completed the installation of DNN 5.01.  On the Web/Database server I can get to the login page if I access it with:

                       http://localhost/exm/

But if I try this on the server it fails with the Object reference not set to an instance of an object exception 

                      http://192.168.176/exm/

Here is the complete error message.

Object reference not set to an instance of an object.

Is this an IIS setup issue?

Environment Info: Windows 2003, IIS 6 ASP.NET 2  SQL server 2005 Express

login using localhost, go to Portals in Host menu, select your portal, scroll down settings list until you get displayed portal alias section.

Click add and enter "192.168.176/exm". Save and retry accessing the site using the IP address.
