I tried all of the suggested fixes (aside from what love.florgard posted on 08/30/2013), but nothing seemed to work.

I ended up going into my IIS Manager and found the physical path being used for the virtual directory "desktopmodules" was not the correct path. I updated the path to what it should be, did an IIS reset, and then was able to successfully load my local DNN website.

Note: I originally cut and pasted the desktopmodules folder into a backup directory. The backup directory was the incorrect path being used by IIS.

Jonathan, did you create a project based on my Visual Studio templates?

Hamed,

Go into IIS, check if DesktopModules is a virtual directory (has an error on the ICON) if so, right click and DELETE.

Chris
