I am installing DNN 4.9.2 on a new server. I am part way through the install and when I get to the screen where I am installing the optional modules (I have selected no additional modules) I get the following.

Error Installing Module(s):
. (HTML (04.08.01)Error Installing Module(s):
. (Links (04.00.01)

when I hit next I then get...

at System.IO.__Error.WinIOError(Int32 errorCode, String maybeFullPath) at System.IO.FileStream.Init(String path, FileMode mode, FileAccess access, Int32 rights, Boolean useRights, FileShare share, Int32 bufferSize, FileOptions options, SECURITY_ATTRIBUTES secAttrs, String msgPath, Boolean bFromProxy) at System.IO.FileStream..ctor(String path, FileMode mode, FileAccess access) at DotNetNuke.Modules.Admin.ResourceInstaller.PaInstaller..ctor(String Path, String SitePath) at DotNetNuke.Modules.Admin.ResourceInstaller.ResourceInstaller.InstallModule(String strFile, Boolean allowResources, Boolean writeFeedback, Int32 indent) at DotNetNuke.Services.Install.InstallWizard.InstallModules()

I have tried deleting the DNN database, and downloading new install files. When I ran the install for a second time. I get the same. I have checked all my settings for security and IIS, etc. All seem to be correct.

Can anyone help me out please? Thank you.

I have corrected the problem. The install.zip files for these modules were empty. I am not sure if the install files were corrupted on downloading. I copied the files from another installation and completed installation.

  • please use latest DNN 4.9.4
  • sometimes unzip programs have issues (especially Windows built it zip)
