I am in the process of testing the upgrade procedure (& compatibility from 3rd party modules) to upgrade my DNN494 installation to the latest version of DNN.

When upgrading to DNN511 at once  DNN keeps on nagging about incorrect permission. The error message the is listed a lot of times in the event viewer is: "Cannot grant, deny, or revoke permissions to sa, dbo, entity owner, information_schema, sys, or yourself." The funny thing is that when I upgrade to DNN510 I don't get this kind of message so therefore I (at this moment) refuse to believe this is truly a permission question, unless DNN511 requires some specific changes I am not aware of.

I also tried to upgrade from the DNN510 to DNN511 and there it was again: "Cannot grant, deny, or revoke permissions to sa, dbo, entity owner, information_schema, sys, or yourself."

I hope that someone can provide me with a solution for my challenge.

Thanks in advance

Regards,
Marc

I mentioned that this error was shown in the event viewer which is not correct. It shows in the upgrade log. The event viewer seems to be more specific:
