I upgraded 4.9.5 to 5.1.2 without any error messages, however the site won't load.

All i get is default DNN Startup Page with message 'DotNetNuke Error" - that's it.

any help appreciated.

I cant get to the language page to check settings, however i know en-US and en-AU are loaded in host/languages.

each portal has en-US disabled and the default language set to Australia

help... peter

Just upgraded my dev installs.  Tried to upgrade 5.0.0 install to 5.1.2 - it failed.  Upgraded a 4.9.0 to 5.1.2 - no problems. Also upgraded 4.9.0 to 4.9.5 - no problems.

These were all brand new installs of 5.0.0 and 4.9.0 prior to upgrading.  The install I upgraded to 5.1.2 upgraded fine but throws an error when I try to edit anything on the Admin setting page:

"Cannot insert the value null into column 'default language'"

I looked for default language in the admin settings - it is a dropdown with no options listed.  Any ideas??

I just upgrade from 5.0.1 to 5.1.2 and I have the same problem.

Thanks & Regards,

Just upgraded a 4.9.3 site to 5.1.2.

Upgrade went fine and site loads.  However, clicking on the Login or Register links does nothing.  VERY strange - site is unusable.  Luckily my dev machines are on Virtual Machine so it's easy to restore to before the upgrade  and try again.  Going to try 4.9.3 > 4.9.5 > 5.1.2

I've just 'patched' or upgraded 10 sites from 5.01.01 to 5.01.02. The ones that started out as new 5.0 installs seem to be fine, but the one's that were much previously upgraded from 4.9 to 5.0, then 5.0 to 5.1 then to 5.1.2 all have these errors:

At the top of each HTML module:
DotNetNuke.Services.Exceptions.ModuleLoadException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object. ---> System.NullReferenceException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object. at DotNetNuke.UI.Containers.ActionBase.get_PortalSettings() at DotNetNuke.UI.Containers.PrintModule.Page_Load(Object sender, EventArgs e) --- End of inner exception stack trace ---

If I add a new HTML module, I get the same error - so i can't move the content to work around the existing module error.
