When I attempt to replace the logo.gif with another I receive the following message and the replacement does not occur.

I am logged in as SuperUser. I have attempted use of another DNN supplied gif file as well as a file that I upload.

Here is the solution.

Go to Admin |  Languages and set the default and fallback and check the enable box. Then go to Admin | Site Settings |Advanced | Other and make sure the default is selected.
