Hi folks

I installed 5.1.2 on localhost. When I go to Admin>Site Settings> Advanced Settings> Security Settings>User Registration and click the Private radio button and Update. I get "An error has occurred. Error: Site Settings is currently unavailable."

If this is a known issue, what is the workaround?

I get a similar error, amazingly enough, trying to upload a logo!

Kind regards

Geoffrey

There is a known bug in 5.1.2 regarding the default language.

Quoting Boonew from this thread http://www.dotnetnuke.com/Community/Forums/tabid/795/forumid/-1/threadid/293762/scope/posts/Default.aspx

  • Go ADMIN LANGUAGES
  • Under Available Locales if your Langauge is not selected, click the dropdown and select the language
  • Select Edit Language and then
  • Select Enabled

From there, you should be able to return to the Admin page you'll be able to update the settings.

Hi Batezu

Many thanks for a fast response.

Sadly, when I go to Admin>Languages There are no languages to select from in the dropdown list.

Any suggestions

Kind regards

Geoffrey

PS sorry about the double post of this question - my cell link dropped out mid submit but see also the comments on the other thread

Just click the Edit language link, it will take you to the next page, where you select a language, then click update. Then you should be good to go.

Hi Baatezu

Nope, when you go to Edit Langiages it is blank, also.

But Alex Shirley gave me this link

http://support.dotnetnuke.com/issue/ViewIssue.aspx?ID=10707&PROJID=2

and I will try some of the SQL and let you know how I get on.

Many thanks

Geoffrey
