Hi folks

I installed 5.1.2 on localhost. When I go to Admin>Site Settings> Advanced Settings> Security Settings>User Registration and click the Private radio button and Update. I get "An error has occurred. Error: Site Settings is currently unavailable."

If this is a known issue, what is the workaround?

I get a similar error, amazingly enough, trying to upload a logo!

Kind regards

Geoffrey

Not a known issue, but unique to you.

You have encountered a known bug affecting new installs of DNN 5.01.02 in which the default language does not get set. Follow these steps to correct it:

  1. Navigate to Admin-->Languages
  2. Scroll to the bottom of the page and click "Add New Language"
  3. Select "English (United States)" or your preferred default language from the drop down list.
  4. Check the "Enabled" checkbox
  5. Click "Update"

You should now be able to make updates to any changes in Site Settings, etc.

Hi Bill

Thanks for getting back to me on this one.

I am afraid I do not have an "Add New Language" link button visible on my Admin>Languages page! My Language drop down list is empty and I only have "Edit Language", Save Resource File", Delete Resource File" and "Language Settings" link buttons.

Any suggestions?

Kind regards

Geoffrey

PS Apologies that this question got posted twice - my cell phone link dropped out midway
