I have installed IIS 5 and can see the file default.htm in the under default web site/IIShelp directory in the IIS console ..

But I get this error when I try to run it.

I type in this

http://localhost/iisHelp/default.htm

and I get this

I have no idea what is going on .. can someone please help !

The page cannot be displayed

There is a problem with the page you are trying to reach and it cannot be displayed.

Please try the following:

  • Click the Refresh button, or try again later.
  • Open the localhost home page, and then look for links to the information you want.

Never mind ..

I installed frontpage extentions and stopped using firefox ..

Works fine in Internet Explorer

Don't be surprised when Microsoft products don't render well in Firefox. Microsoft historically builds web apps to render specifically for IE. They're getting better, but it'll be a long time until they're apps are truly compatible with other browsers.
