Is there a trick to moving a DNN site when the subfolder changes?  I moved a site from a service that had installed DNN in the root (as in www.sitename.org) to one where it is installed in a subfolder (as in www.sitename.org/dnn).  I was surprised to discover things all over the site that used absolute url reference instead of relative, and of course all of them broke.  I had to go thru the site page by page and fix everything.

Is there some way around this?

Thanks!

I have the opposite problem.  My web site was set up as www.sitename.org/dnn and I want to change it to www.sitename.org.  The problem is that clients can't access my site by going to www.sitename.org.  How did you manually fix it? I only have a couple pages so it should be easy for me to fix them.

Did you add a new Portal Alias before you moged or change it afterward?  You didn't say what the problem was so I'll start with that.

My problem was after the site was working all of the imbedded links (url's) were broken - you'll probably run into that too.  Other things like Blog also were messed up.

if you are moving a site and server relative path of the domain changes, you have to adopt all links in rich text columns of the database. There is a free search/replace tool from www.engagemodules.com, which might be of help.
