I currently have an older DNN site without an object qualifier specified.  I would like to share this database with a new installation.  My understanding is this is this is possible if both sites have an object qualifier, however my first site doesn't.  Is it possible to add the object qualifier after the fact?  I do have Godaddy hosting, but do have direct database access via SQL Server Management Studio Express.  I'm not aware of any SQL command to add the qualifier to all of the tables.

I did try installing the new site with an object qualifier "on top" of the DB that didn't have an object qualifier.  That didn't work out (probably as expected), so I restored from backup.

Why aren't you using a parent portal?

Good point -- it looks like a parent portal will make sense here.  I was hesitating as I may not always want to test both sites at the same time after upgrading versions, but instead have independent, differing DNN versions.

In any case, this should solve my problem, although I am still curious if there is a way to change the object qualifier on an existing site.

Thanks for the help!

i would also recommend the parent portal approach. Whilst it's theoretically possible to add an object qualifier after install you have to rename every object in the database, as well as renaming the script contained with stored procedures, views, functions and indexes - miss a single one and you'll have problems. An alternative to this would be to use a data comparison and load product such as one of those made by apexsql or redgate to load the data into a new install made with an objectqualifier. Again this is doable, but not recommended.
