Hi,

I have tried to install a new DNN 5.x community version on a dedicated server from www.1and1.com and am facing various problems which seems to be either IIS, DNS or DNN. Trying to figure out which one. Any help you can give will be much appreciated.

Here is what I got

• Windows 2003 Server with all SP installed
• IIS
• DNN 5.x community version (Latest download from this site). Used the Web Installation service
• SQL Enterprise 2005 server basic install
• 1 GB memory
• NO other apps running on this server
• the server is a dedicated server on www.1and1.com hosting service
• in 1and1 admin site, I have a domain registered as wellness4i.com  which points to the IP address of this website

Steps taken for installation

1. standard installation using web installation service. Declined installation of SQL 2008 Express that comes with the web installation since I have SQL 2005 installed (I like to be able to do admin work on the database)
2. choose the basic installation, answered the basic questions during setup and when asked which host (Localhost or domain), I entered wellness4i.com
3. Installation was successful without any errors.
4. did not install any other modules,skins..etc.. just plain installation

The problem

1. it seems that only URL that works is http://wellness4i.com/a%20la%20carte%...  no other URL works such as

• http://wellness4i.com  - gives HTTP 403 error
• http://www.wellness4i.com - gives HTTP 400 bad request error

What am I missing here? I updated the host > portal settings and still nothing ( see below )  the first list line ( wellness4i.com/a la carte wellness ) was created via installation steps.. the other two I tried to add in.
