DotNetNuke looks great for an intranet site, but the concept will never get approved unless I can get active directory authentication working.  There doesn't seem to be a step-by-step how-to to "know" you've done it right.

So I'd started out as localhost:81/dotnetnuke to access the site.  Worked fine locally, authentication happens as it should.  Picks up my AD account no problem.

After messing around with it remotely I changed to port 80 and the FQDN of my computername.  Changed it in the database, in the hosts configuration - don't know where else to look.

So I get logged right in -as me- when I use

http://machinename.internaldomainname...

When I'm on a remote machine that same URL gets transformed into

http://machinename.internaldomainname...

It prompts me for a user login - which is not desired.  This should be passthrough.  What'd I miss?

Did you configure your browser to pass credentials?  By default, neither IE nor Firefox will pass credentials to untrusted sites.
