I have spent 2 days installing DNN and I am almost there so can someone please help with this issue. I am at the Configure Database Connection and I get this error message: Can someone please tell me what to do with this. Please read questions 2 below since I tried to fix this and messed things up more I believe.

Connection Error(s):
Index #: 0
Source: .Net SqlClient Data Provider
Class: 14
Number: 18456
Message: Sql login failed

2. When trying to fix the above error I followed some instructions online to Login to the account using SQL Server Management Studio and change the password. which I can't change back.  In services: I don't know the old user name for MSSQLServerSQLServerAgent, and now it runs in local system account. CAn anyone help me I am so lost and I am right at the end.

Thanks!!!!

In SQL Manager you should be able to create a user as DBO. Do that and assign a password then use that user to login to the SQL DB.

Thank you very much for your reply..... I do exactly what you say but for some reason every time I put in a password it just goes back to a default one. It is about 15 dots long and I cannot change it unless I know what it is. Even when I create it new it simply goes back to the default. Could this have something to do with the RF version of 2008 SQL? Please give me any  more ideas you may have.
