I tried it still no luck - I have applied permissions to just about everyhting I could think of.  Still nothing happening.  I have even reinstalled SQL Express with no luck.

make sure, SQL Server is configured to support TCP/IP (server and client) and remote access.

onee other thing - i have another .net app running on this server using the same method to attach the db and all moved from the same server at the same time and is working flawlessly. all folders have the same permissions. Make sense?

What is funny is I have 2 other .net apps running on the same machine using the same sql server and they work flawlessly.  All 3 apps was moved from the old server to the new one at the same time. DNN is the only one that has trouble connecting to sql. All folders have the same permissions. Whats up with that?

So I attached the db to the serve via Visual Studio 2010 no problems - DNN Connected no problem and then started its db upgrade process and kept repeating Undefined - Success

Undefined - Success
Undefined - Success
Undefined - Success
Undefined - Success

Now the site is down with a 404 error and will not come back.
