We haven't yet purchased Professional but are seriously considering doing so. I can download a 60 day trial and play with that but I am wondering what the implications are if we do this and then decide that the Community edition has all we need. Can I "downgrade" or do I need to go with a whole new installation (I am thinking primarily of the content I will have created).

Also, if we elect to stay with Professional, it is simply a matter of entering a license key somewhere to make me "legal" beyond the 60 days?

Thanks.

Mark

hello, you can't downgrade from the pro trial to the community edition without making a few changes e.g. the pro html module supports multitage workflow rather than just delayed publication - it is possible to downgrade by updating various entries in the database, but it's not something we support in the Trial version. Regarding the pro version, you get an activation key which activates the edition from the date it is installed, meaning the software if legal, you can use the various services (healthmonitor etc.) and the unlimited support helpdesk.
