Hello,

i've moved a dotnetnuke from another server, did create the database with the same credentials it had on web.config ,
I also created the folder with dotnetnuke (/dnn) as an application in IIS , and did grant the permissions of the application's Identity user (IWPD_36(username)) to the /dnn folder with full permissions.
I still get the error above.

The server is windows Web Server R2 2008 with IIS 7.5

Server Error in '/dnn' Application.

Could not load file or assembly 'System.Web.Extensions' or one of its dependencies. Access is denied.

Description: An unhandled exception occurred during the execution of the current web request. Please review the stack trace for more information about the error and where it originated in the code.

Exception Details: System.IO.FileLoadException: Could not load file or assembly 'System.Web.Extensions' or one of its dependencies. Access is denied.

Source Error:

An unhandled exception was generated during the execution of the current web request. Information regarding the origin and location of the exception can be identified using the exception stack trace below.

Assembly Load Trace: The following information can be helpful to determine why the assembly 'System.Web.Extensions' could not be loaded.

WRN: Assembly binding logging is turned OFF. To enable assembly bind failure logging, set the registry value [HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Fusion!EnableLog] (DWORD) to 1. Note: There is some performance penalty associated with
assembly bind failure logging. To turn this feature off, remove the registry value [HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Fusion!EnableLog].

make sure, ASP.Net 1.0 is installed on your web server or adjust web.config entries to use a later version of it.

Hello Sebastian, I use ASP .Net 2.0 and also did try it with .NET 4.0, nothing changes. Why should I use .net 1.0 ?
