I'm trying a new installation of DNN 5.6.0 on a Windows Server 2008 Standard SP2 with IIS 7 and local SQL Server 2008 R2 database. When starting the installation there comes up an error in dnn.js, line 15, saying 'Type' is undefined. Anyone any idea how to get rid of this?

which .Net framework versiona re you using in app pools settings? I suggest using ASP.Net 2 (i.e. 3.5.1 in fact)

Hi Sebastian,

I was using an older version of ASP.NET running on .NET framework v2.0.50727 (DefaultAppPool). I changed it to ASP.NET v4.0 running on .NET framework v4.0.30319 (App pool: ASP.NET v4.0). The error remains the same as before.

I havn't installed ASP.NET 2.0 based on .NET framework v3.5.1 on my machine. Do you think this could cause the error?

Cheers also from Germany,
Frank

Hi Frank, there are issue reported, running DNN on .Net 4.0, therefore I strongly suggest running on -Net 3.51. BTW: there are German DotNetNuke forums at www.dnn-usergroup.de

Cheers from Germany,
