Hi

I have taken over a website that is for an association which has no money.

We are hosted by Crystone in Sweden which offered Dot Net Nuke as part of the package however having installed it I see that it is 3.2.1.

I have a couple of questions

1) How can I tell what version is installed?
2) If it is 3.2.1 should I upgrade to the latest version and if so how do I?
3) Can I still get hold of modules for 3.x?

Cheers
Steve

Hi Steve; You can log in as Host User then go Host --> Host Settings You'll see "DotNetNuke Version:" which is the version of the DotNetNuke.dll installed and that the site is using. If you do have 3.2.` then you have a spat of work ahead of you. Fortunately many others have been through similar upgrades so there are some recommendations for you: http://www.dotnetnuke.com/Community/Wiki/tabid/1409/Page/Suggested_Upgrade_Path/Default.aspx As far as version specific modules you'll need to review each module you have or would like to use and verify they might work in a specific version

Thanks Ken

I actually discovered that the host user still had the default password!!

And yes it is 3.2.1

I was thinking that the maybe I could skip the upgrade and instead just install the latest version as the current site hasn't gone live and therefore has virtually no content.

I will take a look at the docs on installing a new version as well as the upgrade path and see which would be easier :)

Cheers
Steve
