HI

My system is Win 7 PRO with local IIS (7.5) and SQL Server 2008 express.
.NET is 4.0 and the dnn is under the default site, under app pool set to .NET 4
When I acess http://localhost/DotNetNuke/Default.aspx, I get :

Cannot open database "dotNetNuke.mdf" requested by the login. The login failed. Login failed for user 'NT AUTHORITY\NETWORK SERVICE'.
I tried running sp_grantlogin 'NT AUTHORITY\NETWORK SERVICE' on the database, still did not hellp.
we.comfig holds the following:
name="SiteSqlServer"
      connectionString="Data Source=.\SQLExpress;Integrated Security=True;Initial Catalog=dotNetNuke.mdf;Password=Meir123;User ID=sa;"
      providerName="System.Data.SqlClient"

I would appreciate any advice or hints where to look for the problem.

Thanks

In Windows 7 the app pool identity isn't Network Service by default, did you configure it manually to be that account? You might try the Web Platform Installer I have a video I created about WPI and Windows 7 as there is a minor work around necessary to get it working http://www.dotnetnuke.com/Resources/V...

I did configure it manually. The error before that was the same about LOCAL_SERVICE.
I suppose there is an issue connecting from LcalIIS to  SQL Express.
BTW - I had no problem connecting from VS 2010 internal server to   the sSQL.
