HI. I upgraded from 4.9.5 to 5.2 and now Host>Extensions does not exist. There is an extensions icon at the top right of the page, but it is not clickable. How can I add new modules now to my site? How can I get Extensions back??  I don't want to go back to the previous version, GoDaddy says they can't help me with that particular problem.

Any help or suggestions is greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance
Leona H

please check your recyle bin and ensure you haven't accidentally deleted that page, if so please restore.
If it's not in the recyle bin we'll need to first establish what went wrong. To do this we need some SQL, you can run these queries either directly against the database or else log in and go to host->sql and run them there.
query to run:
select * from tabs where tabname='Extensions'

If that returns 2 rows (one for admin and one for host)a row the page is there, but for some reason can't be seen - please paste the results here and we can see what it might be.

Note: You could also just add a new page and add the 'extensions" module to it

I ran the query, but it showed nothing. Also, in my modules list there is no Extensions module.  Now what do I do? Is there any other way to manually add a module now?

Thanks

try logging in as host and going to host->extensions, click on "install available extensions" and see if the module is there -it may have failed to install for some reason.

In more recent versions of DotNetNuke you install modules through host -> Module Definitions. There is no such thing as host -> Extensions in recent DNN versions.

There is however an admin -> Extensions, but that manages extensions on a site level, not a install/host level.

Go to host -> Module Definitions and scroll to the bottom and select "install module". Does that help?
