Guys,

I am planning to install DNN on Remote server on one of the host provider. Can anyone guide me where can I get the documents for remote installation

Hi Kundan, you can save some work by using a host that installs DNN for you or lets you install with a click of a button.

Kundan, the installation process can vary a bit with each hosting provider. The following is a general outline of what needs to be done:

1. Create a database with user name and password.
2. Upload the DNN install package via FTP or a file manager.
3. Modify the connection strings in the web.config of the DNN install to point to the database you created.
4. Browse to the website (this should trigger the auto install.)

Again, that's a general summary of what needs to be done but you may want to retrieve additional documentation from your provider.

Otherwise like Pingle had suggested, you may want to consider finding a host that would handle some of these tasks for you or provides easier deployment. Here at PowerDNN, we do provide assistance with deploying DNN packages and we do offer a free trial with our hosting if you are interested.
