Hi,
I am using VS 2008 and SQL SERVER 2005, I have installed dotnetnuke5.06 and follow all steps which are instructed in the below mentioned link, but still i am receiving Error 404: Object not found, when I am trying to run installation wizard by browse to http://localhost/foldername.

Can anybody guide me what could be the error? How can i get rid of this problem?

Thanks and regards

Sumaira

Make sure:
The correct .NET framework is installed.
Since you're referencing a folder, is DNN installed to the sub folder off of the root, and is it configured as a web application in IIS?
Is localhost (127.0.0.1) setup in the bindings for the IIS instance that DNN is installed on?

First check to see if you are getting an asp.net 404 error or an IIS 404 error.

An ASP.NET 404 error will tell you the version of asp.net and the name of the ASP.NET application.

An IIS 404 error will look different.

If it's an IIS 404 error, you haven't created your ASP.NET application correctly.  This is the most likely scenario if nothing on the site has ever worked.
