Hi,

I need to restore a DNN 4.5.3 website to one of my servers (WServer 2008, SQL 2008). When I post the website in the browser returns me all the time error 500. I have indicated in the web.config the CustomError to Off but does not tell me the detailed error. I have restored the same backup on my Win7, SQL 2008 Express and the portal is successful, forcing the Pool to Classic. In the server I tested with Default, Classic and Plesk Pool (I use this in all other instances and work properly).

I have also tried upgrading to DNN 4.5.5 and 5.x Does not run the update!

Any ideas?

Kind Regards!

are you using proper app pool identity, adjusted file system permissions and added domain address as portal alias in the database?

Is there any further information in the yellow screen of death?

For example, 500.19 Internal Server Error is a chicken and egg problem that can be caused by misconfiguration in web.config and/or missing IIS components.

Hi,

In the browser on my PC I visualize:
500 - Internal Server Error. There is a problem with the resource you are looking for, and it cannot be displayed.

In the server browser I visualize with plesk (2.0)(pool), same as the other instances:
HTTP Error 500.22 - Internal Server Error
An ASP.NET setting has been detected that does not apply in Integrated managed pipeline mode.

If I change to Classic Pool or Default, I visualize:
HTTP Error 500.22 - Internal Server Error
Handler "Plesk_Handler_0-1892499912" has a bad module "ManagedPipelineHandler" in its module list

The permissions are the same as in other instances (ASPNET and NETWORK SERVICE, Full Control)

Thank's!
