Hello, I have just used the 5.6.2 install package and the install worked. However, once logged in as host and trying to go to various Admin functions such as Site Settings, Skins etc. (under the Admin menu), I'm getting the following error:

Server Error in '/Admin' Application.

Configuration Error

It appears that one of the assembly files, DotNetNuke.HttpModules.dll, did not get properly unzipped from the install package or did not get copied to the \bin folder of the site's installation. The original file should be found in the \bin folder of the install package.

Unless re-extracting or re-copying that file from the install package corrects this isuue and you are absolutely certain that their are no other issues due to missing files, It may be best to start over after deleting all site files and the database. I would then download a fresh install package, "unblock" the zip package by rightclicking over the filename or file icon, selecting "Properties" from the context menu, and then clicking "Unblock" before extracting the files from the package.

Thanks for your help and reply. I tried to do what you suggested as in starting over with new DB and make sure to unblock before unzipping.
Now, in my first try, it fails to install when trying to upgrade Database to version 05.00.01.
Are there any documented 'gotacha's about this newest version. I'm on a Coast Guard network and we ran 4.8.4 for 3 years before upgrading to that latest version 5.6.1 in February.
On a development system, we're trying to just get a clean 5.6.2 version to install to test a new LMS module. I'm starting to question 5.x. We were stable for 3 years in the 4.x we were running. Any other suggestions?
Thanks, Kris

I have tried again with a new DB and all installed this time. However, anything in the Admin menu when logged in as Host gets the following error (I think it's the same as before but one line up).

Server Error in '/Admin' Application.

Any more suggestions? Thanks Kris

please make sure, all files from install package are present, it sounds like a file has not properly been unzipped/uploaded or access permission is missing for the ASP.Net account.
