i wanted to build a dotnetnuke site on a friend"s domain, but now have the problem that the host server is linux/suse based
as i haven"t installed it on linux/suse yet, can anyone please help me and give me some instructions?

it's as easy as installing MS Office on Linux: install Windows Server, enable IIS role, install DNN.

well...... as neither of us owns the server i was rather looking for a solution without installing another operating system.... possible too?

Without a lot of major modifications, DNN requires both Microsoft IIS web server and Microsoft SQL server.  Installing these elements on a LINUX system it not really a practical option.

If you are stuck with a linux server you would really need to look at a php/mysql based CMS system.
