I am attempting to install DNN Professional Edition on 2003 R2 server.
Created folder and set permissions as per install document.
Getting this error message in IE:

Parser Error

Description: An error occurred during the parsing of a resource required to service this request. Please review the following specific parse error details and modify your source file appropriately.

Parser Error Message: Could not load type 'DotNetNuke.Common.Global'.

My guess is that the DLLs are missing on your install, most likely due to windows BLOCKING your Zip file.

Before extraction of the ZIP file right click on it, chooser properties and if there's an UNBLOCK button on the properties window, click on that.

Then extract the files and try the install.

You were right, I first used windows extract wizard but it didn't seem to extract all of the files. I tried Winzip to the same folder and it worked perfectly.
