dnn 5.6.2 / iis 7.5 / windows 2008 r2 - default iis7.5 installation

installation instructions say to grant full access security to

IIS APPPOOL\WEBSITENAME

however, this user does not exist. the apppool exists in iismanager but windows security does not recognize the apppol as a user.

so which user should be granted full control for the websitename file? please update the documentation with the correct information.

part of the real problem has been solved. you have to type in IIS AppPool\[WEBSITENAME] assuming that WEBSITENAME is also the application pool name....you can't navigate to the name in the security settings window. (or at least i haven't figured out how to do so....

the real problem is that i can't browse the website due to security policy exception.

Exception Details: System.Security.SecurityException: Request for the permission of type 'System.Web.AspNetHostingPermission, System, Version=2.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=b77a5c561934e089' failed.

not sure what this means.

i am very grateful that you replied. although the article was completely useless since i had already traversed that path for part of the solution, the real issue was with the app pool. one kind soul in the comments section noted that LoadUserProfile=true is the solution to the error and so it is. again i am much obliged for your link.
