Hi I'm new to DNN, need some help with problems I encountered during instalation. I tried to google, and search the forums but didn't find anything usefull.

Well I'm am trying to instal DNN to a remote host, it has IIS6 and ASP.NET 4, I a was given password, username and dbserver by provider, but when I tried to instal the CMS I get this error. Tried clean instal and modified web.config. When I run the instaler for the first time the install process failed half trough, all components did not install, but i could connect to the database, that first time, so I had to ask for a new clean database, and after the provider made a new, now i get this error. (my cpanel permisions are verry limited so i can't do any changes).

Connection Error(s):
Index #: 0
Source: .Net SqlClient Data Provider
Class: 14
Number: 18456
Message: Sql login failed

Thx for helping me out, D.

please make sure that the database server and client support TCP/IP and you are using a username with dbowner permission granted for the database.

Cheers from Germany,
