I've been charged with the task of moving websites from an old version of DNN to a new install of DNN, rather than doing the traditional upgrade process.  I am starting this process on my machine, then I will move it to a development server, then to the final production server, all with different environments.  I have absolutely no clue as to how to go about this.  Any thoughts, tips, ideas, suggestions?

setup both sites (existing old one and new install) on your local machine side by side and migrate data as required. for moving a web site, there is a ponned post on top of the install forum.
