I wonder if someone could please help me. I am looking at hosting DNN on my dedicated server it is 2008 Webserver Edition. I have installed it successfully but it has installed under the Default site so locally I have to type localhost/dotnetnuke.

What my question is, is how do I tie my IP address in IIS so that I connect directly to the dnn instance. ie just type localhost. If I dont do this when I change my A records for my domain it will Bring up the IIS7 page

Thank you

Are you trying to tie the IP address to your DNN install, or just

http://IPADDRESS/dotnetnuke ?

The easiest way would be to just change your default website to point to the folder where you have DotNetNuke installed. You will want to add the Portal Alias before you do this though, via the Admin/Site Settings page (when logged in as HOST)

Thanks Chris I have set the default directory to point to the Dotnetnuke and it seems to work. I will login as host and change the portal alias as you suggested
