Hi,

I was building a module and added some changes to the xx.xx.xx.SqlDataProvider, and the 4 files for the Data Access Layer. Now when I load my localhost website, It keeps redirecting to the Install Wizard. I have gone ahead and undone all the changes I had made, but I am still getting redirected.

If I go ahead and try installing DNN (after backing up) I get the following error when getting to configure Database connection:

Connection Error(s):
Index #: 0
Source: .Net SqlClient Data Provider
Class: 20
Number: 2
Message:

The message is blank so I cant tell what is going on with the connection. I did not make any changes to the web.config file, so I am not sure how the connection would suddenly stop working.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Chris

Most likely, it is redirecting because it cannot connect to the database.

Which SQL data provider did you modify? Yours, or DotNetNuke's?

The is probably because there is a problem connecting to the database.

When you mentioned changing SqlDataProvider and some other files, are those DotNetNuke files, or part of your module.

Joseph,

Sorry for the late reply I was out for the past week. I do think you are correct that it is a database issue, I started doing some digging and it appears that my masterdb was corrupted somehow. I am working on getting it fixed and hopefully fixing the dnn issue.

Ill update this if I get it working or not.

Thanks for your help.

Chris

Just wanted to say that rebuilding the master database fixed the issue.
