1. ADD/change the URL that want be used on the new maschine to the Site Alias in your DNN site
2. Backup the SQL Database
3. Backup your DNN files

4. Create the Database User (ame as on old server!)
5. Restore Database from the SQL Backup file
6. restore the DNN files
7. Change the 2 connection strings with settings on the new environment (not needet if on localhost and the database is still the same.
8. Make sure you have the correct physical permissions setting up for the IUser and your Application Pool User.

Basicly an Administrator account should not be used for connection to a SQL Server. Using the Administrator on an develope system is ok, if you create Modules or skin packages. With Windows Accounts it could be some more extensive to change the users and restore a backup on a SQL Server. You have to restore the database on the new server as a SQLadmin, and then change the dbo login by T-SQL scripts to the user you have created for the database. This Process is not on a Website it is directly on the SQL Server. Use the SQL Management Studio (Express) for this tasks.Make sure you have the correct the 2 connection strings in the web.config file before access the site.
