I have restored a production DNN 6.0.1 database to a separate machine. I can fully browse/access the site so I know the restore worked OK and receive no errors, etc. However, I can't log on to the new server ("Login failed"). I know I am using the correct username/password because I use a password management utility and have double checked my password.

Are credentials stored somewhere other than the database itself? Why wouldn't I be able to log on to the new server after I have restored the database?

Thanks.

Mark

Are the machine keys in web.config the same as before?

Hi Barry,

Yes, it was a machine key issue. Thank you.

Mark
