Hi All,

Hoping someone can help me out here.  I have a DNN site up and working in my DEV environment.  Now I want to move it to my Test environment using XCOPY.  I have backed up my DNN Database and zipped up my DNN directory and moved both to the Test machine.  I have set up the necessary Virtual Directory in IIS and given permissions to the DNN directory as you are suppose to.  I have also modified the web.config file to point to the new Database.

When I navigate to the DNN site it wants to run the installer, whereas I expected it to go to my DNN site home page.

Anybody know what I am doing wrong?  Do I need to change the MachineKey or something?

Thanks,

Rod

Never mind... the problem ended up being I was missing the Login User I needed on my DNN database for the connection string.  Once I added everything worked great.  I guess if DNN has any trouble accessing the configured databse, it automatically assumes the database is missing and goes down the "new install" code branch.
