I crated a DNN site template from a DNN 7 site (originally it was DNN 6). Now I want to load this DNN web site template to a new local host web site. I do not want to use the "blank" template or "default" template.

New DNN site is DNN 7.0.3 
So how can I use this site template for a new web site when I am installing and building a new web site?

I just moved 2 files of the template to "portals/default" and did try. But the template name was not in the template drop-down.

Please advise me.

Unfortunately I don't think (could be wrong) you can use templates from older installations of DNN. What I would do is this.

Take that template in a DNN6 install, create a site with it. Upgrade the install to DNN 7, then generate a new Template.

Than try using that new template.

You should be able to take the files and put them into portals/_default, you might need to recync the file system though after manually moving it around.

Thanks Chris. I've done the same. But please tell me how to resync in a fresh new dnn installation.
