I must estimate memory requirements for the VM environment in which we will be hosting DNN 7 Professional. SQL Server 2008 R2 and IIS 7.5 will be hosted on separate VM's. We wish to size our servers to accommodate up to 1,200 concurrent users. The site will server as an intranet serving approximately 10 distinct groups within our company. Each group will be provided with areas for training, discussion groups, news, and surveys. If we are successful this website will grow to hundreds of  pages within a year of its introduction. We would like to sustain page load times of 2 seconds or less, realizing that significantly longer page loads will be experienced for non-cached web pages. I would guess that we should start with around 4GB memory and Dual-Processors for the IIS VM and 6-8GB and quad-processors for the SQL Server VM.

But I would appreciate referrals to helpful posts or articles providing guidance on the allocation of web server and SQL Server memory.
