I installed DNN8 a couple of times using SQL server 2012. I installed full version of DNN8 which was downloaded from CodePlex.

There were no error messages displayed during installation and looking at the InstallerLog20160126.resources log.

When I launch the portal page, all that is displayed is the DNN Logo and label stating DNN Error. No other messages.

I looked over the 2016.01.26.log.resources log which does have errors but not sure what the problem is. Never seen this before.

I sure will appreciate any insight on how to address this error.

did you check prerequisites?
DNN 8 requires .Net 4.5.1 or later!

I was able to verify that my Windows 8 installation is running 4.6.

I have tried to re-install DNN using the source files with the same error.

I am certain that the issue is the current software that is impacting DNN however these errors are not getting me closer to the issue.

Does anyone have an idea what I should try?
